Paper cutting is an art with a long rich history; its first origins date back as far as the 4th Century, so the fascination for the medium spans centuries, continents and cultures.

Paper cutting had often been used for celebrations, which is exactly what I feel I use it for. Celebrating the bright beauty of animals and nature all around us. I find it is a unique medium to show colour in a clean and pure way.

The process of working out the cutting and layering is a fascinating jigsaw that results in a depth and clarity hard to achieve with any other art form. I use hundred of papers with different textures and shades to gain the depth and details of each individual piece. I never have a 'Master Plan', instead I enjoy how each piece evolves organically.
